Going Back to Cali, SF, Day 1 – 25.06.18 –

Disclaimer: Got to do a little backlogging here. I am a little lazy in getting this going. Call it inertia, perhaps being lazy, and several hours in various planes. Ok probably all three.

*Ok, here we go*

Left NJ on Monday 25 June. Beautiful day with the sun shining. Got to EWR, got my usual 3 bottles of water, hopped on United to head to SFO.

That. Flight. Is. Long. Almost 6 hours, which you’d think would be next to nothing at this time. Incorrect. Probably due to the seat which was lumpy beyond belief and lacking any structural integrity.

Arrived in SFO, and Bob McDade scooped me from the airport.

First stop? Whole Foods. Bought all of the food. Kombucha, salmon, steak, salad greens, eggs, bacon, and at least 4 different blocks of cheese.

Got back to their apartment in Redwood City, and proceeded to wine and cheese. Shout to to Luke Beseda for coming through and saying hello. Luke and I met in Spain in 2007 during our teaching English adventures. Haven’t seen Luke since the last time I was SF for a conference in 2013. Bob grilled up the salmon and steak, and we proceeded to eat a lovely salad. See below for pre-salad almost post-cheese with myself, Luke, Bob, and Alexis. Also Bob makes funny faces in photos.
