Woke up at 4:30AM. I felt well rested too. Got to packing and was able to quickly put everything away.
Did a Y&M, and made my way to the kitchen for some green tea! Had two teas, got cleaned up, and said my goodbyes and thanks to everyone. Athai and I would talk about how quickly the time passed, but there is next year, so it was not too sad a departing. But I was sad, for sure.
We stopped at a different place for breakfast. I had vadai and idli, but then this special kind of dosa that you have with this coconut mixture that is sweet. It was like dessert for breakfast. My goodness so good! We had some coffee, and I was pleased at not being stuffed!
We made our way back to the Mangalore airport and I said my goodbye and thanks to Athai. What an incredible week full of love and food. It passed by toooo quickly.
I got into the airport, and after being a moron and forgetting that my travel agent had informed me of the changes to the flight, had to pay to get on another flight to Mumbai to be able to get to Goa.
Got to Mumbai and collected/re-checked my bag and made my way into the airport. The terminal was SUPER nice and reminded me of Kuala Lumpur’s airport a bit.
I knew I needed to eat, so I found another pure veg restaurant, and ordered way too much food. Although I didn’t feel stuffed in the moment, it was too much.
Landed in Goa and found my driver outside. We hopped in the car and made our way to the Golden Crown Resort and Spa. I arrived at around 8PM.
I was definitely in a funk. I think it was because the people in Mumbai (Bombay) were so mean in the airport, and I was sad to have left Athai. Moreover, I had been with family for 2 weeks straight, so I had to get used to being on my own again. I went to sleep watching Will and Grace…only on vacation.

Yeah, leaving Athai and Shruthi is hard……
