Alright alright. SO!
Woke up at around 6:00AM. It was a little cloudy to start the day. Did a Y&M and was feeling pretty good. Especially as my elbow was more or less good so I can begin to do the things I did previously. Athai was kind of enough to give me some of the anti-swelling patches and Shruthi gave me some antacids just in case ya boy keeps eating too much. She knows me too well.
I made my way to breakfast on the earlier side because…I had a massage scheduled for 10AM at this spa about an 8 minute walk away.
This morning I was a bit easier on the breakfast because of my (glorious) mistake of ice cream the night before. So no coffee. Had my omelet and had my man sauté the veggies before putting the eggs in and omeletifying. Had some cinnamon pancakes, and they had all this freshly cut pineapple so I got into that pretty heavily.
After feeling not too stuffed, made my way back to the room, got changed, and made my way out.
I got to the spot at around 9:55AM and skirted right in. Put on the robe, and got on the table.
This massage was one I’d never had before, an ayurvedic massage. Ayurvedic medicine is that all good natural healing type stuff. Some of you have probably heard me rant and rave about turmeric extract and how I take it to avoid illness. So same kind of idea here, minus the turmeric.
Ok, so this massage was kind of rough. Definitely felt good, and I could see the patterns of movement and linking of different chakras within the body, but some of the portions of movement were pretty strong.
But I went with it. Its all natural healing right?
So after the massage I went into the steam room. Took some deep inhales and exhales, that felt great.
Went back in the room for the body scrub. I had gotten one in Cambodia the year before and they felt really good. So we got to it and the body was SCRUBBED.
Steam room again for about 10 minutes.
Then shower. Man this shower felt so good! Got all the oils and stuff off of me, settled the check which was around $40 for a 75 minute massage and 45 minute scrub, and made my way back to the hotel.
It wasn’t raining so I said let’s try the beach! And if we get rained on we get rained on, no big deal.
Gathered my belongings and assorted beach items and made my way over to the beach. As I walked out, it was clear that to the right, you could not see the coconut trees in the distance. The sky was pretty dark and gray over there, while lighter gray where I was.
I walked down to where most people chill, away from the fishermen and all of their salty smelling fish, and as I was trying to determine whether or not I would stay, it started drizzling.
Then it started raining a bit harder.
And got windy.
Turned around we did, and made our way back to the hotel.

Got decently wet, but it wasn’t a thing.
Got dried off, and decided to…
START BLOGGING!
It alternated raining and not raining, but it was generally cloudy. Legit spent about 5 hours logging in the past week. That’s the thing with this. You fall a couple of days behind and then it just stacks up! So because the internet is not great out here I’ve been writing them in Word documents and then uploading when I can. The hardest part is to get the photos to upload as it keeps failing to do so. Usually on the 15thtry of a photo it sometimes goes through so you’ll have to work with me. Worst comes to worst I’ll post the photos I can, and then add the text like I was thinking of doing in the Philippines. Once I get to Mumbai, I should have much stronger internet and be OK.
Getting all of the thoughts down felt so good. It was as if I got to relive the week with Athai and include all of the details I could remember. After all of the writing I felt so great, and I think I realized that I needed some type of mental stimulation.
Also, forgot to mention that as I started working, there was this vibrating on the computer. I started freaking out. I’m like no way, this computer is brand new, this can’t be happening. Turns out the scrub had cleaned me so much that those oils weren’t on my skin, and thus caused friction that mimicked vibrating. Hilarious, once I figured out what was going on.
Got done blogging at around 7PM and talked to Saroja, then Mom, and then Dad.
I was pretty hungry because I didn’t have lunch, and was debating about the second round of Y&M.
Did it and was so glad I did. I felt so incredibly greatafterwards. So light and appreciative.
Got showered quickly and went to the buffet.
Had to go with that butter naan! So good! They had some dal so I had to swoop that, they had another paneer dish, and another vegetable that I had.
I got seconds/thirds of the dal and the paneer dish. Then asked my man for some yogurt, and he brought out a BOWL of it. Crushed that too! And no ice cream, as learned from the night before.
Came back to the room around 10:00PM having got to the buffet around 9:00PM, turned on the TV and was watching something terrible that I can’t quite place, and then went to sleep. Fantastically productive day!
